RULES FOR PRECALCULUS
Rules for
Precalculus
·
Each student needs a three ring binder (2”-3”) on the second day of
class. In the notebook have a set of
dividers labeled as; Notes, Worksheets,
Assignments, and Tests. Each student needs a TI-89 Calculator everyday on class.
·
Homework will be given every night.
You will be given an assignment sheet at the beginning of each chapter
with all assignments and dates when worksheets are due or quizzes or tests are
to be taken. You are expected to read
this and not have to be reminded of assignments. The assignments are also on
the Precal website.
·
Homework will be checked at the very beginning of class. Failure to have attempted every problem will result in receiving
a zero for that assignment. Each homework check is worth 4 points.
·
If you do not have your homework complete you will need to stay with me
during XL that day or the next to work on math.
·
Calculator may be used on quizzes or tests if specified. Some sections
will not allow the use of a calculator unless specified. Do not use a calculator on your homework if
stated so on assignment sheet.
·
If you go on a field trip, class trip, college trip, athletic event,
etc., you must turn in all work before you leave. This includes showing me your homework,
turning in graded work. Since you get
all your assignments and worksheets at the beginning of the chapter there
should not be any excuse for not getting the work turned in beforehand.
·
Help sessions are every day during XL or by appointment.
·
If you are absent from class, get the notes from a classmate as not all
material will come from your text. Also
read the corresponding section in your text and do the homework assignment. If you have questions try to come in for help
before the assignment is due
·
All homework, worksheets, graded work, etc., are due at the beginning
of the period as soon as class starts.
No exceptions. On graded
worksheets you may work with your classmates if you do all the work yourself
first and it is not stated otherwise on the assignment sheet. You may compare answers and discuss how you
arrived at your answer. You are not
allowed to copy any part of any problem from someone else. This will result in a zero and will be
considered an Honor Code violation.
·
Please sign below and have one of your parents sign too. Return this signed form on the second day of
class.
